Let's make a profit from Darts!!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it's been a little quiet on here of late but hopefully now we will get some interesting posts flowing. Remember you can also keep in touch with bets available posted in the forum.

I have never been much of a sports investor my speciality has always been the UK horse racing. So while I was recuperating I was watching with interest the Grand Slam of darts and I was watching the game between Raymond van Barneveld and Terry Jenkins when I noticed how often the first thrower actually won the leg. So I fired up Bet-IE and looked to get involved in a Trade.

To anybody wanting to learn how to trade, sports markets can be an excellent way to dip your toe into the water. As a general rule the odds move slowly and in a steady direction until a pivotal moment occurs. In darts this could be a set won or a break of throw at a crucial time. Even when this occurs you can still trade out of the position and reopen a trade to try and repair any damage done.

When I started trading this initial match I noticed that the legs where pretty much being won by the first thrower and this started my trading strategy.

I started by taking a small position on Raymond van Barneveld at odds of 1.59 for a £100 stake

I then follow after a few seconds taking a Lay bet of 1.56 for a stake of £101.92 at this point I have locked in a £1.92 guaranteed position.

I then open the next leg with a back bet on Terry Jenkins at 2.48 for £100

Raymond van Barneveld has an unusually bad leg and Terry Jenkins wins the leg quickly, this of course enables me to lock in a profit on this leg also. I Lay at 2.38 for £104.20.
This continues to build the profit position to now £6.12.

Now I open a trade on Raymond van Barneveld at 1.9 for £100

The leg goes again according to plan and Raymond van Barneveld is locked in for a Lay bet of 1.7 for £111.76. This builds the profit to a position of £17.88 on Terry Jenkins and £17.89 on Raymond van Barneveld.

This idea developed into a very nice position for just a few legs trading, a nice £17.88 profit on the match and all for a few minutes work. I then settled down to watch the climax of the game as Terry Jenkins held his nerve and beat Raymond van Barneveld.

If you have never tried to make a profit from the darts I do urge you to have a look at it, it may turn out to be one of the best decisions you have made and with Bet-IE’s help it makes generating a profit so much easier!
